When the waves of life crash against the shore the most unexpected things can happen. Sometimes waves of change batter against the walls of a house sitting high above the rocky cliffs seeking any tiny gap to flow through. Other times they bring help in the form of a long-lost sister and friend who pummels at the door until it finally breaks, letting the tides crash through and sweep away everything in its path. Those brave enough, grab onto a plank, haul their sis up beside them, and then hold on tight to enjoy the wild ride. From the high desert of California to the frozen tundra of Interior Alaska, the sometimes mother, counselor, esoteric astrologer, and full-time student of life, finds adventure wherever the tides take her. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up TK replies, "You mean I have to grow up?" I never planned on writing stories of any kind, then one day Nicole Austin challenged me and I couldn't help but pick up the gauntlet. Obviously, I can't stand a dare. The really strange thing about it is I now feel compelled to set pen to paper, and yes I still use paper and pen over the computer. Somehow it is more personal to me and writing has always been a personal thing to me. I've been an avid reader since my mom introduced me to Edgar Rice Burroughs's Mars series at age 9. From there I began reading anything I could get my hands on: mystery & thrillers, paranormal, science fiction & fantasy, spirituality, health, philosophy, and cereal boxes. I didn't really read romance until they started opening the bedroom door, and now I spend my days catching up on all I missed. To this day, however, fantasy remains my favorite. My soft spots are for Tolkien, Goodkind, Hamilton, Kurtz, Zimmer-Bradley…and so many more! I love walks by the ocean and through towering trees, and always have camera in hand because taking pictures and sharing them is one of the creative outlets I truly enjoy. While I had never thought of myself as adventuresome, I've lived in Interior Alaska where I raised a child, built a house, and learned about the long cold winters. I then drove 5000 miles by myself from Alaska to Rhode Island, where I fell in love with the best alpha in the entire world. Together, we relocated to the west coast where we both feel at more at home than any place we've ever been. And after all these years of traveling and experiencing new things, I think I'm finally beginning to admit I enjoy change and adventure. I love to hear from readers, so take some time and drop me a line if you get a chance. You can always find Nic and me playing on the T&A Fantasy Playground. We'd love to get to know you, so drop on by!
